![]() « Dans l'Eau évoque l'équilibre entre les besoins de l'individu et ceux de la société en général, la réconciliation des deux dimensions de l'humanité, deux sphères en suspension qui flottent pour permettre la génération de la créativité, de la transformation et de l'épanouissement. » « Lumière, en revanche, symbolise le monde des idées, des lois, des concepts conçus pour une coexistence sociale fondée sur des principes qui privilégient d’abord et avant tout l'organisation et l'ordre. » « Noir marque le début de notre coexistence primitive, archaïque et primordiale au cœur de rituels, d’habitudes et de coutumes obscures dominés par l'instinct, les éléments et le chaos qui empêche l'humanité de veiller au bien commun. » L'œuvre est divisée en quatre mouvements leurs titres font référence aux liens mystérieux et aux pouvoirs créateurs de la musique à travers une série de caractéristiques qui représentent notre existence en tant que société. Les informations suivantes ont été fournies pour la première britannique de l'œuvre (Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, 2 novembre 2017) par le flûtiste et compositeur Alejandro Escuer, un collègue de faculté d'Ortiz à l'UNAM qui a enregistré un album de sa musique pour flûte : « Au cours du processus de composition de Hominum : Concerto for Orchestra en 2016, une sorte de synesthésie a évolué, alors que certaines couleurs, images et/ou humeurs prenaient graduellement une signification métaphorique par rapport aux préoccupations sociales, philosophiques et politiques qui sont au cœur de la condition humaine. Hominum (« Humanité »), de Gabriela Ortiz, joue avec une sorte de synesthésie, créant un monde sonore métaphorique entre certaines couleurs et états de la matière pour traduire des préoccupations sociales, politiques et philosophiques centrales à la condition humaine.Ĭette œuvre a été commandée par le Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, l' Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de México, et son directeur artistique, Carlos Miguel Prieto, pour célébrer le 100e anniversaire de la Constitution politique du Mexique (1917-2017). “Finally, Red represents our strength upon confronting different manifestations of injustice it is the emotional product of chaos caused by a lack of equilibrium, impunity, and the corruption of ideas and matter it is the indignation and struggle against all that keeps us as a society from living together in harmony.” ![]() “In Water describes the equilibrium between the needs of the individual and society at large, the reconciliation of both sides of humanity, two spheres that, floating in suspension, levitate to enable the generation of creativity, transformation, and fulfillment. “Light, on the other hand, represents the world of ideas, laws, concepts tailored to a social coexistence founded on principles that, first and foremost, prioritize organization and order. ![]() “Black marks the beginning of our primitive, archaic, primeval coexistence among dark rituals, habits, and customs ruled by instinct, elements, and the chaos that prevents humankind from looking out for the common good. The work is divided into four movements their titles allude to the mysterious associations and creative manifestations of music through a series of characteristics that represent our existence as a society.
